“Learning and Caring Together”
We are a school community committed to delivering an ambitious curriculum that challenges all of our pupils. Every aspect of our school life contributes to ensuring that pupils make sense of and appreciate the world around them as responsible global citizens.
We have designed our ambitious curriculum to challenge all our pupils regardless of their individual needs and life experiences.
At our Federation we use the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and the National Curriculum 2014 as our reference points in creating a broad and balanced curriculum.
We'd love to hear from you, use our online form and one of our staff will get in touch asap, need to chat instead why not call Merebrook on 01908 522876 and we will help you as best we can.
Forest school is an inspirational learning experience offered to all pupils at Merebrook.
Forest school provides opportunities for pupils to achieve, develop confidence and self-esteem through hands on learning experiences in the natural environment.
We strive to engage the children of today to protect the planet of tomorrow.
Merebrook is proud to be an Eco School. Eco Schools is an international award programme which encourages our pupils to take responsibility for, care and respect our future environment. Our pupils are encouraged to use their environmental knowledge in the everyday life of the school and local community.
At Merebrook we are fully aware of the pressures on parents, particularly working ones, to adapt their day to that of the school day. We have links with Treetop Childcare to take that stress away from parents and to provide children with a safe and fun-filled environment at the beginning and end of their school day.
We offer an onsite breakfast and after school club designed to support working parents who need childcare outside of school hours. The wrap around care at Merebrook is provided Treetop Childcare.
In addition to the wrap around are we are keen to ensure all pupils have an opportunity to take part in a wide variety of sports and special interest clubs after school. Every term a new timetable of varied clubs from football through to musical theatre, street dance, arts and crafts and many more can be booked by parents.
