Welcome to our newly formed Hard Federation of Merebrook and Emerson Valley Schools, website.

As a Hard Federation our aim is to foster a love of learning and to develop enquiring minds, enabling the children in our care to overcome barriers and to reach their full potential, ensuring that children value themselves as unique individuals, celebrating diversity and respecting differences and to work together as a community to enable our children to develop as responsible citizens.

The website is intended to give you information about the education provided by the school, as well as keeping you and the pupils up to date with the latest news and events.

As a Federation we have strong ethos of inclusion, encouraging all our children to be confident and caring of themselves and those around them.

We aim to create and provide an environment where curiosity is welcomed, inquisitiveness is encouraged and learning is fostered.

We strive to provide equality of opportunity to encourage and motivate the children in our community to have higher aspirations and expectations of themselves and others.

We strive to ensure that the curriculum is carefully designed with the children’s specific needs and interests in mind. As a result, our children have the opportunity to experience visiting many different places, during an academic year.

We will ensure that children meet and work with an author every year and have the opportunity to experience visiting theatre at least once a year.

We have high expectations not only of ourselves but the children and the community that we serve.

We value families and the wider community and see a strong positive relationship as integral to the success of our school.

I look forward to welcoming to our school.
