Naming Items

At Merebrook Infant, we know that naming items helps children feel confident in looking after their belongings and makes it much easier for staff to return lost items. Please name all items your child brings to school, especially clothing, bags, water bottles, lunch boxes and any spare items. This is especially important even items that look similar, such as jumpers, coats and PE kit.

When you add a name please makes sure that it is easy to read, does not fade in the wash, and doesn't fall off.

You might chose to:

- Write directly in clothing using a permanent marker

- Use sticky labels that are dishwasher and washing machine safe

- Buy iron on labels for clothes.

Remember to name all items carefully so that if something goes missing, we can quickly find the right owner and help keep the school day running smoothly.

If you want a recommendation of labels to use the company below sends a donation to our friends association CHOMs for each sale of labels.  Www.stikins.co.uk Quote fundraising number 36680.
